Ken Beekley
Beekley, Kenneth A., IFMCV Board Chair, is the Executive Vice President for Siouxland Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). SEDC is a regional economic development organization with a mission to serve the greater Sioux City, Iowa area with a wide range of economic development services. SEDC was one of the original Microloan Intermediaries selected as part of a pilot demonstration in 1992 by the by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Ken and his wife Glenda Castleberry were the initiators of the SEDC microloan program which has made, serviced, and provided technical assistance to more than 100 microloans since the program was initiated. Beekley holds a Bachelors Degree from Morningside College in Sioux City and has completed courses for a MBA at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Beekley serves as Board President for Siouxland Residential Services, a residential services provider for chronically mentally ill persons; and Vice President of the Board for Siouxland Community Foundation.
