Marybeth Foster
Foster, Marybeth, IFMCV Board Member is Executive Director of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation which serves as the philanthropic arm of the Iowa Credit Union League—Iowa’s trade association for credit unions. One of the Foundation’s strategic directives is to provide tools for sustainable small business. The Des Moines-based Foundation is launching an Individual Development Account (IDA) matching saving program that includes microenterprise as an account asset choice. Prior to joining ICUF, Foster served as Director of Development and Marketing for the Institute for Social and Economic Development, later renamed ISED Ventures. ISED Ventures is involved in a variety of microenterprise training and technical assistance services. Foster served as Dubuque County Extension Education Director for Iowa State University Extension and was a consultant for the State Public Policy Group focusing on rural issues and economic development. She was a County Economic Development Director for Grundy County, Iowa. Foster holds a Bachelors Degree in Journalism from Iowa State University and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
