Jason Yates
Yates, Jason, is a loan administrator and development coordinator for IowaMicroLoan. He is coordinating the Iowa Small Business Loan Program, which began in August 2008, and developing future IFMCV programs.
Previously, Yates served as Director of Operations and Strategy for The Harvest Initiative, Inc. The Harvest Initiative was founded in 2008 to promote sustainable economic development on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation in central South Dakota. Yates coordinated program design and implementation. He also worked with prospective entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.
Prior to joining The Harvest Initiative, Yates interned with USDA Rural Development, the Iowa Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, and as a prosecutor with the Dallas County (Iowa) Attorney.
Yates graduated with Honors from Drake University Law School in 2008 and earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University in 2000.
