Dawn Bowlus
Bowlus, Dawn, IFMCV Board Member is the founding Director of the Jacobson Institute for Youth Entrepreneurship that is a part of the John Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Iowa. Since 2000, Bowlus has built a nationally recognized program geared around teacher education, curriculum and outreach that has supported more than 300 educators and 20,000 students from 220 school districts statewide. Bowlus has 15 years of experience in youth education and enrichment. Prior her service at the university, Bowlus was Director for the Iowa School to Work Technical Assistance Center an information and referral clearing house based in Cedar Rapids that targeted students interested in developing skills through educational institutions to businesses needing specific skills and talent from across the state. Bowlus received degrees in English and Psychology from Luther College in 1993 and taught English as a Second Language in Japan for two years. She is currently working toward an MBA at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City.
